International Day for the Eradication of Poverty
October 17, 2017
It is only when the voices of the poor and vulnerable, who have a stake in shaping their future,
are heard and heeded that development can become sustainable.
The General Assembly of the United Nations declared October 17 as the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty to be observed. The eradication of poverty is at the heart of the Presentation charism and therefore, each year the International Presentation Association (IPA) has traditionally combined our bounty and generously contributed to a global concern. This year, in light of the many natural disasters that have struck around the world, your donations will be given to groups working to alleviate the destructive results of these storms.
