What is Presentation Quest?
Presentation Quest is an immersion and service program that the Sisters of the Presentation of Dubuque, Iowa, sponsor or promote in learning the root causes of poverty as well as in educating others in earth sustainability. These opportunities allow a deeper understanding of systems that make people poor, of stress on the environment, of diversity of culture, as well as the realization of the need for personal growth.

What is an Immersion Experience?
An immersion experience is an opportunity to become transplanted into another situation or living experience that nurtures deep involvement in a cause or service. This encounter can either facilitate our understanding of systems that make people poor or systems that promote violence. It is a learning and a new awareness to one's personal growth.

What is a Service Opportunity?
Service opportunities provide hands-on experiences within a different culture than one's own or a societal dilemma that requires systemic change. Direct service helps people survive their present crisis in poverty.

Immersion and Service Goals:
To raise new awareness of injustice and oppression

To form relationships with people in poverty and
those who minister to the poor: to be with them,
experience their day to day lives, to learn from
them and allow ourselves to be challenged by them

To identify and help to change the systems which perpetuate injustice and to learn how we can promote social change

To make a positive difference in an area of need
while working together with others

Who may participate?
Quest seeks mature and spiritually motivated women and men in support of the mission of the Sisters of the Presentation and Associates. Young adults 18 years of age and older, Presentation sisters, associates, family and friends are encouraged to participate. Group size is limited; applications will be accepted in the order received.
