Prayer
is the very warp and woof of
our existence and at the heart of
our
mission. Prayer grows out of
spirituality, which is a consistent
way
of relating
to God and the
things of this world, a concordant
ethic of life,
a lifestyle that says:
“All is holy.” From such a spirituality
come those conversations which we
call prayer, the varied expressions
of a heart
that sees through God’s
eyes.
The Presentation tradition
of prayer
is central at Mount Loretto. We
gather daily for prayer
in our Sacred
Heart Chapel. We pray the Liturgy
of the Hours, an
official prayer of the Church whereby
the hours of the day
are consecrated to God. Once a month we pray Taize
prayer that is a
meditative service, where one invites God's presence
to penetrate one's
innermost being. On the 25th of every month, we pray
for our friends and
benefactors at our daily Eucharist. Guests are
always welcome.
