A NATIONAL CALL FOR SOLIDARITY
May 12, 2009

Tuesday, May 12, marks the first anniversary of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency raid in Postville, Iowa. A National Day of Remembrance has been declared to promote awareness of the devastating effects of raids. This day is a unified call for just labor practices, comprehensive immigration reform which safeguards family unity, and the end to ICE raids everywhere. Individuals and towns are encouraged to don red ribbons as was done in Postville on the day of and following the raid.
