What is immersion experience?
An immersion experience is an opportunity to become transplanted into another situation or living experience that nurtures deep involvement in a cause or service. This encounter can either facilitate our understanding of systems that make people poor or systems that promote violence.

Immersion experiences will build upon and extend the ministry begun in the former Summer Service Opportunities.

Immersion Goals:
To raise new awareness of injustice and oppression

To form relationships with people in poverty and those who minister to the poor: to be with them, experience their day to day lives, to learn from them and allow ourselves to be challenged by them

To identify the systems which perpetuate injustice and to learn how we can promote social change

To make a positive difference in an area of need while working together with others

Who may participate?
Dubuque Presentation sisters, associates, family and friends. Group size is limited; applications will be accepted in the order received.
